Quarters and cut slabs

Can the Developers add a mechanic to cut slabs in half with stonecutter or add key bind to cut the slabs with pickaxe or axe, and also glass in real life is made with a blast furnace so can you add this two?, If you actually add these in next release of this release I would be happy
