I primarily play Minecraft to build fun buildings. I often find myself wishing that I had another way to get less common flowers and that I had a decorative block that could display several items, varying if desired. I think these two goals can be achieved in one go by adding a display case block. The block itself could store 9 items and I would imagine it to have an interface like that of a crafting table sans recipe book, where the player would simply place 9 items and the block would display them in the arrangement the player chose in the interface. I recently made a fish market for my city, and had the idea of putting fish on doused campfires to represent a large number of fish for sale, but on the campfires, the fish look small and it doesn't quite look like a convincing storefront because there's so few fish. A display case block would solve this. I also think that associating the block with a new villager type would be a good idea. I suggest a villager who buys miscellaneous plants like dead bushes, ferns, vines, leaves, etc, and who sells flowers that might otherwise be difficult to find and flowerpots. When spawning in villages, the display case block could be full of flowers. Some flowers can be relatively hard to come by, and a villager would make them more available. Plus, a villager would still require some cost in leveling up and in spending emeralds, so it's not as though the game would simply be handing you the flowers.
