I wanted to preface this with I play on the Bedrock version. I was attempting to build a house and noticed that I would have to make an extra level in order to have a certain aesthetic. But I thought that if we were to expand the slab blocks to include concrete blocks, terracotta blocks, and wool carpet blocks that it would make it easier to have a two-tone floor. Because as you know slabs stack on each other in the same one-block area. So for example you are on the first floor and its all-wood planks, then you look up to the ceiling to see more wood planks, but as you ascend you see that it's actually a wood slab with say a purple wool slab on top making the second story floor have a wool carpet without having to sacrifice house construction dimensions. Also, you can't put chests or blocks on top of carpet blocks as they are forced to sit one whole block above the carpet block. The more slab varieties could allow for greater customization and personal expression when building.
