Many minecraft players build in a medieval style and many of those like to build castles so baracade blocks would be a cool addition. They would be one block tall and wide and would damage the players with Thorns I damage when walking into them. All mobs (especially hostile) would try avoid them but would still be able to see you and would attempt to path find to an opening. You would also be able to stack them on top of each other too. To craft them you would put 5 logs an 'X' shape on a crafting table with sticks in the other 4 available slots ('+' shape without the centre slot). To break them you would use an axe but it would take a full second to break them whether the tool is enchanted or not (credit to r/PetrifiedBloom for contributing towards this idea as originally I suggested the player that placed them would be able to instamine them but this may be unfair in PvP battles). They should also have a chance of naturally spawning around pillager outposts and possibly when using different wood types they would have a different appearance (credit to r/Terrence_Shark for contributing this idea). They would be perfect also for farms that require kill chambers that would usually involve campfires as they wouldnt have animations and could reduce some sort of lag.
