Reinforced Leads

Leads are designed to pull animals to a location. No matter their weight, they don't move you, they're just able to break it after a while. What about reinforced leads? Instead of pulling an animal, the animal can also pull you at equal strength, much like a rope. You can connect rope to 2 entities, and they will connect with each other. You can also connect the ropes with fences, and after a certain range, the entity cannot move anymore, or even bounce back. This could be used to keep mobs from running away from eachother, or even maybe connecting it with a chicken and falling slower. You can attach a hook at the end of it, and climb up mountains or anchor something in water like boats. The possibilities are more than 3!
