I’ve seen the suggestion of texture packs being adding to bedrock for borderless glass, or the glass texture simply being changed, but why not just add borderless glass to vanilla as a different item?
Regular glass blocks (bordered) are still the standard glass obtained from smelting sand. The player then has the option to take the glass to the [stonecutter/furnace/blast furnace] to obtain borderless glass. It could be argued that smelting the glass twice to obtain “clearer glass” (borderless) makes sense, but also could sort of make sense to use the stonecutter, as it is a tool we use to refine other blocks and could be seen as using it to “cut away the border”. Or, it could need to specifically use a blast furnace, the “higher heat” could produce more pure glass.
Bordered glass as my only option, since I play bedrock on Xbox, is painful. I can’t even use bedrock tweaks as Xbox does not support it. I love building beautiful builds, it’s one of my favorite things about Minecraft, and I HATE it so much that anything built using glass immediately looks like a kindergartener built it. I HATE how the borders make glass harder to see through, when the entire point of glass is to be able to be seen-through. The bordered glass obscures so much. Glass in real life doesn’t look like this, we shouldn’t have to use mods and texture packs not everyone has access to in order to have something this basic yet beneficial.
Please, PLEASE, give us an option for borderless glass.
