Ever since Minecraft released copper I knew it was going to be more decorative than anything, and that’s NOT a bad thing, what is bad is the lack of recipes. So while we wait for copper features, how about I suggest 3 additions to copper in the game.
1. All the copper blocks!-
Copper is one of the most utilizable alloys in the world for building, let Minecraft reflect that by adding more variants of copper blocks and giving copper the ability to craft things like copper rails which would function like fences. Also, add the copper buttons and pressure plates, since copper is so light they are not required to function any different from wooden ones.
2. Copper themed minerals-
We already have so many minerals in the game from real life things like plain old stone and gravel to things like granite, diorite, and andesite. Adding copper based minerals to the game that spawn in small quantities around copper can do this in a way that doesn’t clutter your inventory and give you fun new decorations such as azurite, turquoise, and malachite blocks along with their polished variants.
3. Insulated Redstone-
Gotta save the best and least likely to be added for last, insulated redstone would be a crafting recipe of 3 redstone flanked on either side by 3 copper, which would craft 6 insulated redstone. They would act much like vines in that they can climb walls, but cannot connect directly to normal redstone dust circuits, they must instead be routed through a repeater or comparator.
