Just what it says on the tin. Pigs should be able to breed more often than cows, and rabbits should be able to breed more often than pigs. This would give the player more of a reason to consider which animal to farm. Cows would be better if you're keeping a herd, but rabbits would be best if you need a lot of food quickly, and pigs would be in between.
