-> you are supposed to build a farm where this mob spawns, not to make a breeding farm. To prevent this, I suggest:
--> fast spawning rate
--> every single one of this mob can be breeded only a small number of times
--> you can eat this plant without hunger and it doesn't give you much / at all hunger
-> this plant can be used as fertilizer for some multiblock plants like
cactus, sugar cane and chorus plant
-> also, while you are under the effect of this plant, you get more shulker shells per killed shulker
-mobs are scared by endermites
