It seems to me that it would be much more logical to tie a compass to each specific death, like magnetite. I explain: The player runs, while holding a compass in his inventory, after which he dies, naturally all items fall out, except for the compass, he is tied to the place of death of the player forever. Now a new compass will be needed for the next death.
Why do I propose to do this?
After all, if you die again on the way to the place of death, you will lose the original place of death. Also, any player should plan that he can die, so there is a certain excitement that, as before, you can not return your things.
