The dagger should be a new weapon in the game, crafted with one iron and one stick. This weapon will do very little damage, maybe a heart or two per hit, but the catch is that it ignores armor in that damage. So it always deals the same damage regardless of armor (a references to how daggers can find chinks in armor to hit), and deals more damage when you stab a mob or player from behind. This makes it useful for pvp and early game harder difficulties where you don't have advanced weapons yet, but you do still have mobs with armor to kill. I do believe that enchantments on armor like protection should be taken into account and decrease the damage the dagger does. This would keep it balanced because, although its useful early game, once you progress getting an enchanted diamond or netherite sword will always be better.
