With the coming of the RTX versions in their glory, there has been a surprisingly low amount of ways light can be manipulated in the game.
This has been suggested before, but I want this to work differently as to how others may have suggested it. Negative light blocks. Negative light blocks can reduce light levels (from light blocks, natural light, or other blocks like torches) from 1-15 levels. The blocks can reduce light levels in a radius of 15 blocks, with the reduction growing weaker and weaker the further from the block the light is. For example, a light source with level 15 placed 15 blocks away from a level 15 negative light block will have the light source from the block reduced by 1 level.
I really like the idea of being able to toy with light more as builders and people who create films in the game have wanted to use light to help enhance what they want their build to be.
Edit: the blocks can only reduce the light level diwn to zero. negative light levels would not make sense and defy the laws of physics as thus game totally follows 100% of the time follows them
