First I want to say that it's awesome that Mojang has kept player feedback a high priority for all these years. So what if in addition to finding echo shards in chests, they also dropped around the Warden when it tunneled out of the ground? This would give players incentive to interact with the Warden and figure out ways to get close to it without alerting it, providing an intense and thrilling experience. As a bonus, this would only require one Ancient City to be found to get all the shards the player needs while also making it very difficult to farm (unless you made the entire floor of an Ancient City into hoppers haha). But I also understand if this idea gets in the way of the design philosophy that the Warden is meant to be avoided and is there to punish players who don't follow the rules of the Ancient City/Skulk biomes.
