Gunpowder allows a potion to explode its contents outward.
In the same sense adding spores could have more of a puff cloud effect, spraying the potion out from the hand instead of throwing it.
To accomplish such adding a mycelium to any potion could soak the mycelium itself into said potion, leaving a dirt inside the brewing stand once done.
This would be the 3rd potion variant that isnt a drinkable bottle and could change how applying potions to teammates, mobs, and enemies. Perhaps blocking a spray with the shield could result in soaking said shield when bashing.
When opening the bottle a shotgun blast of potion would coat whatever its aimed it, working as both a hazardous mist to block sight and a quick application to oneself if running while using it [passing through the mist would be easier than arrow timing]
As a 3rd option, having the bottle shaped differently could allow them to be stored in bundles for quick equipment evaluation. Making the choice of bottle shape change capability without making any of the 3 more overpowered than the others. Almost all outrank potion arrows in effectiveness and obtainablilty, but another divergent path for potions could be the easiest path for differing support options while starting to give use for things like silk touch aside from aesthetics.
This way potions could have all variants of distance [self-drink, melee range-spore, mid range-splash, trap-lingering, long range-arrow]
The creative menu should have brewing UI to learn
