I think a big problem with the Warden Post Anti-Cheese is his charging state, when he is aggravated and chasing you. I find it really annoying how it begins to path-find like a normal mob after that. I can understand it's antenna being hyper-sensitive in that state, able to snuff out even the faintest of detail to track down it's prey.
In that regard I think it's really effective, but gameplay-wise, once you get it angry there's very little you can do to squeeze your way out of the situation. While I understand that that's the point, mistakes happen in gameplay, and I think a method of escape is better than none at all.
I think Teleportation using Ender Pearls and Chorus Fruit should be able to throw the Warden off your scent because in the current build, I can be 3 long distance Pearl throws away, and here it comes stomping toward me all the same, and I find that really annoying.
Pearls being the method of Escape means.
- The Player has a sufficient amount of Pearls, meaning they're prepared to venture the Deep Dark.
- Players who haven't brought any are playing much, much riskier, so that lack of escape is warranted.
- It gives a new, practical use to Ender Pearls in general. (Chorus Fruit to a lesser degree.)
To counterbalance, Maybe it'll put that specific Warden that was targeting you into a High Alert state, any sounds from players will warrant a roar. It could also linger, and roam that area for a longer time, making sure to snuff out any trace of players before burrowing again.
