Ok, just to clear some stuff up, I don't mean the kind of plane that flies, I mean another plane of reality, two different things, anyway, The Alternate would be an extremely strange place, it would look like the overworld, using the same seed, but everything would be different, every texture would be inverted, mobs would behave differently, eg. the Warden could see but not hear, Endermen could teleport other mobs etc. Structures would generate differently, and food would fill more or less hunger bars, weapons would deal more or less damage, and armor would protect more or less. Every block that has a unique function would be different eg. Sculk catalysts could be the thing the Warden emerges from, Furnaces could reinforce items etc. This would obviously be an insanely huge update, remaking literally everything in Minecraft then adding another plane to put all of that stuff, yeah that's a lot but it would be pretty cool, and it would make for quite the adventure, with maybe its own boss since the Nether and the End wouldn't exist. Maybe once your in The Alternate, the inventory would change to have all the stuff from there instead of from the overworld, and how to get there? Not. A. Clue.
probably like, a new portal or something.
