Villager Ladder Climbing and Preferred Path in Java Edition

I think villagers, in Java Edition, should be able to intentionally climb and descend ladders, either to reach a job site block, or to sleep in a bed. If multiple villagers need to climb the ladder, they will take turns climbing the ladder, staying at least one block apart from each other, in order to prevent themselves from getting pushed off.

The Bedrock-Exclusive feature, the Preferred Path AI, should also be added to Java Edition. However, this time, Villagers not only stay in low-cost blocks and avoid jumping, but they also stay a half-block apart from each other in order to prevent pushing each other off the pathway.

  I'm pretty sure Java already has the preffered path, and I hear how people complain how Java does a better job than Bedrock with that feature, though I do think more mobs (including Villagers) should actively utilize ladders, vines, scaffolding and other climbing based objects.

  Yeah, totally. Maybe not just for Villagers, but other mobs can intentionally climb ladders and have the knowledge to descend them. Although, Villagers would seem more like Villagers if they knew how to climb ladders.
