Azalea are not trees but shrubs.
Instead of making the "azalea tree" look like an oak log with flowering leaves, the trunks should be a lot thinner (maybe as thin as a fence post), slightly lighter in color than the oak log, have a braided texture and can branch out.
This should make the azalea a large flowering shrub rather than an oak log with flowers.
