As it stands, the Overworld and Nether are not meant to have an accessible void, yet if an unintentional feature lets a player fall into it anyways (such as chunks that failed to generate), players would lose everything, with no chance of recovery. This is intentional for the End, making it a hazardous place, however, players shouldn't be punished, especially to this degree, for an unintentional glitch. I propose changing the Void in the Overworld and the Nether to teleport the player to the World Spawn, rather than killing the player.
You may argue that the player should be punished for exploiting glitches to phase through/break Bedrock, however, people may still unintentionally fall into the Void accidentally, harshly punishing the player for something that's nearly impossible to escape from once you fall in. It's not fair that players could lose everything over a mistake that had nothing to do with their choices, so changing the Void to teleport players to World Spawn would both be a simple, yet effective way to spare players from an unfair, unforgiving death.
