I think that items should stick to cacti, or, if not possible, just not be destroyed by it.
Why? It's extremely unrealistic (I know that Minecraft isn't the most realistic game out there), but it just doesn't feel right. If you throw something even as strong as bedrock, it'll be wiped out of existence by it. Also, netherite can survive in lava, yet destroyed in an instant by being thrown into a cactus. Even throwing a cactus itself into the block will kill it. They have had this feature in the game since being added, and it doesn't feel practical. I'd like to see this taken into consideration.
