In order to make cheesing the Warden nearly impossible, when targeting a player but the player is far away it will convert into a Skulk charge and spread through the ground until emerging near the player. This would mean that cheesing it by either digging down, pillaring up or digging away would not work. Perhaps it also could have the additional capacity to convert Skulk-convertible blocks to Skulk as its charge moves through the ground, just as a regular Skulk charge does; this would allow players to design advanced Skulk farms for whatever reason they want.
It would definitely fit with Mojang's intentions to make the Warden a mob to avoid, not a mob to fight.
