Upgradable shields

Get bored of the always same shield? What if we could upgrade them for more durability and protektion. If you replace the iron ingot to, for an example, diamond, it would take much longer to break and if you change the wood, for an example, to diamond, it would take more axeswings till its stunned. Changing the iron would change the frame, wich is visible iron rn. Changing the current wood, would change the look of the current visible wood. The matirials you can change are wood, stone, gold, iron, diamond and netherite, like it is for swords and other tools.
