What do you want done?
The lead should give an audible feedback to the user when stretched near the breaking point. There also needs to be a sound that can always be heard by the user when the lead breaks.
Why do you want something done?
When using a lead to move a mob the player must frequently turn around to make sure the lead hasn't broken or the player must walk backwards to keep an eye that the mob hasn't fallen too far behind or been hung up on something. This is ridiculous since anybody pulling around a creature by a line would know instantly if the lead broke or is stretching too much. Also the pop sound of a broken lead happens way back by the mob in tow and is hard or impossible to hear.
So the way it is now the player can turn around every few steps, walk backwards or forge on and have to backtrack good distances to recapture mobs that got loose some time ago.
All are no fun.
How do you want something done?
A "leather stretch" sound should be created that notifies the user before the lead breaks. The sound of the lead breaking needs to happen at the player's location not at the mob's location.
I am in version 1.18.2 and I play solo survival on normal settings.
