When you are making your redstone suggestions, please note that Java and Bedrock will not have the exact same the same redstone systems - this would require redoing redstone system completely on one platform or the other. The two systems are functionally different and are going to stay that way. Please be sure to tag your suggestions with (Java) or (Bedrock).

Allays are locked up in illager outposts and illagers are related to villages. Just have the allay come at the call of the bell block instead?

Or Maybe Make A Gamerule That Mutes Noteblocks With All Blocks Placed On Them (Im Not An English Native Speaker So I Could Have Made Some Grammar Errors)

It hardly matters at all what it will do to redstone contraptions, either adapt to changes or stop playing the game. They shouldn't be prevented from updating and changing their game how they see fit just because the edgy teens that make up the tech community whine and complain about every little change that's made. And the fact that there's still an option to block the sound should be more than enough. Bottom line here is people are just too lazy to make the necessary changes to contraptions and want a solution that doesn't require doing any work at all. Hardly a reason to make such a request, and even less of a reason to expect them to take it seriously.

The whole point of Minecraft feedback is to get the opinions of the community. The developers don't have to listen, but if they want to genuinely know what different parts of the community say they can come here. We aren't banging on their doors making them fix note blocks, it's just an opinion a large part of the community holds.

A solution i could think of is simply to add a muted note block that is going to be crafted with a note block and a piece of wool. That would satisfy redstoners while keeping the change done to the note blocks in the snapshot 22w13a

a simple solutions would be to add silenced noteblocks that can be crafted with wool and a note block

this would satisfy both the technical and builders :)

I really think Mojang should revert it as my favorite world uses a lot of noteblocks for redstone.

Would love to see a new block as a compromise.

There has to be a solution that satisfy everyone, I for one personally would prefer new technical block that acts the same way as noteblocks, but doesn't have sound, or perhaps have 1 sound for ON state and silence mode for OFF state, that would be cool, I myself barely use redstone, and by no means am a redstone expert, but as casual player that sometimes does redstone I think this idea is worth while.

Everyone needs to chill, yes this poll is important but it’s just a snapshot. Mojang might of already been thinking that they would revert it back after testing.

Mojang keeps making bad decisions without the consensus of the community. Its getting old and it would be nice if they started to present options and allow us to talk them over instead of not listening to anyone.

Noteblocks have been being used in redstone for YEARS.... The redstone community is one of the biggest communities that keeps minecraft being played over a decade later. Some of the biggest and most active youtube channels are because of redstone. Even "design" focused builders often rely on redstone to some extent... So why dork around with and change a key component that has been in the game for the majority of the games existence and used almost exclusively for redstone builds?
Simple solution is leave it alone. Would it not be easier to add a block for Allays, since you're adding a whole new game mechanic anyway? Instead of repurposing an already existing block that has a few very specific uses in the community (redstoners and music makers).

Really the best option is adding a silent note to note blocks, if they plan on keeping the change. Makes everyone happy.

Silent Redstone is an amazing tool. Making otherwise loud and annoying contraptions a little more usable in day to day play. I do hope they find a solution to this.

I agree with the last option, to add that new block. It would allow both, smaller music contraptions and more silenced piston doors.

Make a note that will make the note blocks silent OR you know what Just make the note blocks back to normal.  ~ShrinkShield, Capt_Shield, JAVA PLAYERS

Most people disagree with this literally dont know anything about redstone, especially on Java, and the change is not even that important to the overall gameplay

So please, let the redstone community, have this chance to speak out

The idea from purpledragonnuke's video with "silent notes" would be also good... Basically adding an extra note to noteblokes, that doesn't make any sound. I think everybody would be happy with this solution

What's about a block, that have the same Redstone ability, but with no sound and crafted with 8 Wool around 1 Redstone?

I think the way to go about this is not to simply revert the change but adjust it slightly. my idea is that alongside wool redstone components such as pistons and observers etc. should also block the noise. this way both the building and redstone communities can each get some of what they want.
