The Transport Update would be an Update primarily focused on mechanics and features that can help the player move around the world while opening up new opportunities for transport-related ideas.
Minecart Ideas:
- Redstone block Minecart, this would be a minecart that would be capable of providing a Redstone signal to any blocks adjacent to it, allowing for a way to power machines using rails
- Dispenser Minecart, a minecart would be able to apply dispenser mechanics to only either its left or right side depending on the orientation of the minecart, it would need to be powered by an activator rail in order to use this functionality tho
- Honey Rails, These would be rails that can put mobs and players into the minecart provided the rail is powered.
- Improved Furnace Minecarts, Making it so that the furnace minecarts are able to stack their speed with powered rails while maintaining their ability to create minecart trains, maybe add in an extra item which can link Minecarts and boats to create vehicle chains.
- Slime Rails would convert horizontal momentum into verticle momentum launching minecarts up when powered while also slowing them down horizontally when not powered
- Ice under rails, Putting Ice under rails could speed up the minecarts by a large margin but also make it so that minecarts won't be able to do any turns while ice is under the rails or slip, this will help with significantly speeding up minecarts making them viable for transport again while adding in some risk to doing so.
