Right now, one of the only things that doesn't make sense in the Nether is iron. How did the Piglins and Piglin Brutes get the iron needed to craft those lanterns and chains? The only guess I have is that the Piglins raided the overworld through the ruined portals in the ancient past, and got the iron that way. But then how do recently spawned piglins have access to enchanted iron boots? I have an idea that could explain how they came upon this iron. A new ore (called pig iron ore) could spawn in the nether, replacing netherrack blocks like the other ores. Mining the ore with any kind of pickaxe drops 2-6 pig iron nuggets, which can be crafted into 1 pig iron ingot for every 9 nuggets. This could be used in all the same recipes as iron, except tools, weapons, armor, and blocks would be referred to as pig iron variants of these blocks/items, and they would have the pig iron texture. The pig iron texture is the same as normal iron, only it is the tan color of raw iron even when smelted, instead of the whitish/light-gray color of iron ingots.
