Can we get a MAP & Cauldron update?

The map system in minecraft is old and looks bad. Can it be updated to something similar to the atlas mod? Maybe an adventures atlas  that could be filled with blank maps. And will fill map chunks as you explore the world. Then could take your filled maps back to the cartography table and feed to the world map. But also update the look and textures of maps. 

  Secondly can we update the cauldron into the cooking pot of the game. Make use of the cauldron as your base / camp's way of making stews.  And could add soups and stews to the cauldron recipes. Cooked over a campfire or open flame. Milk and mushrooms to make cream of mushroom soup. Carrots, beets, and potatoes to make vegetable soup. As well as all the stews already in game should not be crafted in crafting table. But cooked in the cauldron , because it makes sense to have better foods at your base/camp then on the go. Use the cauldron as the kitchen of minecraft.

Also stated by another's post slime, honey, and magma blocks should be made in cauldron not crafted. Liquids should all be processed with the cauldron.
