The Blast Suppression enchantment would make it so an enabled shield (actively being used, not just in the off hand) would not just protect the player, but would actually prevent damage to anything around you. It would be a great way to basically turn off creeper griefing, but in a way that requires a bit of gear and being fast enough to get the shield up. From a pure game psychology perspective, I think people would love the feeling of relief when a creeper is about to blow up their house but they get their shield up in time. It would also be useful when you are making a nether bridge and a ghast shoots at you. For ghasts I think it should stop block damage, but not stop fire spread from it. By default it should work on TNT, but maybe that could be a server setting depending on how PvP a server is and how common the enchant is to get (I think it should be a little hard to get?) It could be fun to block the blast of someone trying to TNT you.
Maybe it could come in different levels that lower the blast strength?
