I would like to see Minecraft Bedrock Edition introduce screen-space texture capabilities for add-on creators. This would allow resource packs and behavior packs to apply screen-space textures and visual effects directly to blocks, rather than being restricted to traditional static or animated textures.
This could function similarly to the End Portal texture, where the texture appears to behave independently of the block's physical surface and uses a screen-space rendering technique.
Giving creators access to this functionality would open up many possibilities, including custom portal effects, dimensional distortions, animated visual patterns, reality-warping blocks, and much more.
Ideally, creators would have control over how these textures are rendered, with configurable parameters and scripting support to allow for dynamic effects.
