Revert change to Bedrock Haste

In this week's Bedrock beta/preview, haste mining speed was changed to that of Java's. The community would like to see this reverted, as this makes wood no longer instaminable with Efficiency V and a Haste II beacon.

  • Beacons are extremely difficult to obtain in survival, considering Bedrock edition's Wither is extremely overpowered compared to Java edition's Wither, and instamining wood felt like a reward for such a challenging fight.
  • There does not seem to be any gameplay reason to slow the haste effect down for wood mining.
  • Many players don't have a great deal of disposable time, and making mining speed slower only harms these players more and either discourages them from playing or encourages them to find cheatier ways to obtain large amounts of resources.

We hope Mojang will do the right thing and not nerf haste for Bedrock edition. Thanks for all you do.

    I will spread this on Twitter! #RevertBeaconDebuff! We can't let Mojang remove the ability to instamine wood on bedrock! There is no reason to debuff an end game item like the beacon! We can't even plant trees close to each other in bedrock and now they want to nerf we even more?

    Personally I would like to see the parity done in the opposite way, make the haste mining speed of java be improved to match bedrocks.

    i completely agree. make wood instaminable. if you want parity, make it instaminable on java as well, but DONT TAKE AWAY THE ONLY FEATURE THAT JUSTIFIE BEDROCK NOT HAVING TNT DUPING.

    Honestly, I think stopping parity is a good thing. It doesn't ruin anything and we can all have our fun.
