Copper Horn Feedback [Bedrock Beta]

The Copper Horn came to Minecraft Bedrock Beta and Preview last week and it's been great to see the community experimenting with it. We're still looking to find out more about what you think about this experimental feature, so as a refresher, here's what was added: 

Copper Horn

  • Added Copper Horn item, which is crafted using three Copper Ingots in a "v shape" with a Goat Horn in the middle
  • Can play three different sounds, by looking up, crouching, and everything else
  • Added special sounds for Copper Horns crafted from Goat Horns found from screaming Goats

    So While believe that to have an item for socializing is an amazing addition to Minecraft that is very fun to mess around with friends I also understand why people would want some kind of functionality for it and I think I found a way that could fit both sides. So how it could work is instead of adding functionality to the horns themselves why not add a goat horn receiver type of block that by inputting a goat horn into it then whenever a player uses the same type of goat horn the receiver block would emit a redstone signal. This ways people who want a purpose for it and people who don’t won’t a purpose for it can in a way both be satisfied as the horn by itself is a just a fun niech item that anyone can enjoy but by adding in a receiver it’s not the horn that has the functionality but an additional block. And going with this receiver idea a really awesome idea that could go with it is an alternative state where if your set it to that state then instead of receiving the goat horn sound it emits the sound of the goat horn that is inside of it when it receives a redstone signal. Though regardless of if any of that would get added I think it would be a waste to scrap the idea of the goat horn, it could bring so many great experience to many players so even if some people think it’s pointless to add an item with no functionality we already have items like that already in the game and they are really fun for those who actually use them.     It would be cool if holding a copper horn in your hand and pressing a certain key on the keyboard, then 1 of the variations of the music is issued (while it may be different if you look in a certain direction). If you use the horn with someone at the same time, then they automatically adjust to each other (for example, according to the rhythm).

    I think it is a cool collectible item at least and the variations could be rare or something as another rare thing to collect as a trophy

    Give it back please, I loved the concept, and I was in the middle of making a big mini game with them. I loved them and I wanted to see them in the update.

    Please don't remove the copper horn! It's a fun item that I was really looking forward to having when the update released, whether it has utility or not. It's also a use for copper which is currently very under utilized in the game.

    The copper horn could be used to attract the cows that are a little far away.

    I really liked the horn, I would like to see where the sound comes from, so you can find each other if lost in a cave with a friend

    The copper horn should definitely be re added. Not only does it give me the freedom to update minecraft and keep the copper horn because I'm staying back a beta just to keep the copper horn to continue what I was doing with it, but it gives copper more crafting uses.

    I saw in some previous posts that someone had requested an echo horn that would be crafted with a copper horn and some echo shards. It would be used to mimic the attack of the sonic boom the warden does. It would make yet another use to go down into the ancient city's and more uses for copper and the goat horns and the echo shards.

    In another post I saw a request to instead of having different directions to play the copper horn, the level of oxidation would change the tone. Since there is more than 3 levels of oxidation in minecraft, I think the 4th sound could be a counter melody to the other 3 sets of horn sounds.

     

    Please add the copper horn back. It was such a great feature and in my opinion, it was one of my favorite features you have ever added into minecraft.

    We need these readded to the game. This brought more color to game in my eyes when it originally was added in Preview. I enjoyed them so much, having a set of items that are different and have a special use for the music people of the game. 1.20 should bring some of the old "unreleased and postponed" features.
