New weapon: Battle Axe

Battle axes could be crafted with one stick and 7 blocks (gold, diamond, wood, stone, and iron). It would deal 4 damage with wood and gold, 5 damage with stone, 6 damage with iron, 7 damage with diamond, and 9 with netherite(and then the diamond axe could be upgraded into netherite the same way you'd upgrade a tool or armor to netherite). But what would set the battle axe appart from a regular axe would be its special whirling swing ability. when the button to attack is held down for 3 seconds, it would charge up this ability. Upon releasing the button to use the whirling swing, it would deal damage to any mob within a 3-4 block radius of the player (damage differs depending on what type of axe), while also rotating the player around in order to swing the axe around them. This ability could be useful if a player is surrounded by a hoard of mobs. Also, if there's anything wrong with this idea that could end in it being rejected, please tell me.
