Title: Add Direct Model Bone Access to the Bedrock Script API
I suggest adding direct model bone access to Minecraft Bedrock's Script API ("@minecraft/server").
This feature would allow JavaScript to retrieve individual entity model bones and access their real-time world positions and rotations, including animated transforms.
Possible API functions:
const bone = entity.getBone("head");
const position = bone.getWorldPosition();
const rotation = bone.getWorldRotation();
Illustrative example, not existing methods.
This would allow creators to:
- Attach particles and effects to animated bones.
- Connect passenger entities to specific model bones.
- Make beams and abilities follow animated body parts.
- Synchronize model animations with JavaScript.
- Create more accurate interactions and hitboxes.
Currently, creators often need complicated workarounds to achieve these mechanics.
Adding this feature would greatly expand the possibilities for advanced Minecraft Bedrock add-ons and custom boss creations.
Please consider implementing direct model bone access in the Bedrock Script API!
