Rare Lightning Struck Black Wood

I see a few suggestions for black wood with an African Black wood. While I always love the idea of a new biome, especially if new mobs would be added, I think it would be particularly cool/interesting if black wood came from a rare phenomenon.

Imagine if a normal tree of any variety is struck by lighting during a thunderstorm or artificially struck with a channeling enchantment. The tree would then go from a normal tree to a leaf-less tree with burnt bark, and charred wood. The wood would be able to be crafted into Charred Planks and all other wood crafts.

This phenomenon is pretty rare because you can't exactly venture out for it, you have to be in a chunk with an active thunderstorm in order for the tree to be possibly struck or you can use a trident like mentioned previously. Also, you would not be able to get a sapling from this tree, seeing as how the leaves are gone.
