The Linking and The Linking King (Bane of Arthropods Opponents)

With Smite on your sword, you can face the Wither boss, but Bane of Arthropods is no longer unnecessary by comparison, because a creepy crawly new bug has emerged in Jungles, Swamps, and Caves... The Linking is a very hostile, long, fast centipede-like mob, and fighting it is a bit like fighting a Slime, because as you attack it, it will split into smaller segments (each one a bit like a Silverfish) and the fighting gets more chaotic as it goes on. It's creepy to watch the Linking scurrying around through 1x1 tunnels. And as expected, the different segments can "link" back together as you fight, healing the Linking. Even more ferocious is the Linking King, an even bigger version with a ranged poisonous attack. Your Bane of Arthropods Sword will be your best friend if you dare to face it! It may also be a good idea to bring your trusty armored Wolf companions, you don't want to face all the segments of the Linking King all at once! If you do defeat the Linking, it will drop "Linking Guts," which can be brewed into a Poison Immunity potion, and "Carapace," four of which can be crafted into a shiny new Carapace Block in purple, gold, or green, just like the colors of the Linking. The Linking King will also drop "Linking Legs," which can be combined at an Anvil with any Tool or Weapon to permanently improve its reach!

  Honestly I thought the "Linking Legs" should be used to create Multi-Tools, as in combining functions of shovel and pickaxe, etc., and that makes more sense thematically. It just had to be a worthy reward for defeating a boss, like a Nether Star.
