Hello Mojang Team,
I would like to suggest a new update that adds alternative ways to obtain gunpowder in the game, specifically through mining or crafting, rather than relying strictly on mob drops or chest loot. Gunpowder is a crucial resource for late-game mechanics like rockets for Elytra flight and TNT for large excavations, but current methods can feel repetitive or tedious.
Here are two realistic ways this could be integrated into the game:
1. Gunpowder as a Mineral: Sulfur Ore
* Add a new mineral called "Sulfur Ore" that generates naturally in the Overworld (specifically near lava pools, caves, or volcanic-themed biomes) and in the Nether.
* Mining this ore would drop Sulfur Dust.
* Players could then combine Sulfur Dust with Charcoal and Bone Meal/Sugar in a crafting table to create Gunpowder.
1. A New Crafting Recipe
* Introduce a recipe to craft gunpowder using existing items. For example, combining Charcoal/Coal (for carbon), Bone Meal or Quartz (as a chemical base), and Magma Cream or Blaze Powder (to give it its explosive nature).
This update would benefit players who prefer peaceful gameplay styles, builders who need large amounts of TNT, and those who want more depth in the mining and gathering aspects of Minecraft.
Thank you for reading and for continuing to improve this amazing game!
