Since the sift dimension is coming to Minecraft in 2027, I think there should be a a system adjacent to the concept of redstone that would allow players to create soul powered mechanisms. Similarly to Minecraft dungeons 2, these mechanisms could be powered by ichor cores, or even beacons as seen in the first Minecraft dungeons. And a substance responsible for conducting the soul energy could maybe be lapis, or another material perhaps found in the sift dimension. Since the beacons and ichor cores are commonly used to power bridges, maybe when a certain new block receives soul power, it could be used to move large objects smoothly. I’m thinking the new block could be stacked into long horizontal or vertical rails or belts that would specify how much the object is supposed to move depending on how long they are. This could be useful for mapmaking, and functional builds where modern redstone simply isn’t compact enough. But this is just one of the potential uses for soul powered mechanisms I hope makes it into the base game.
