The default `minecraft:physics` entity component currently only offers basic gravity and simple world collision. To support realistic vehicles, contraptions, and interactive objects, script creators need deeper hooks into Bedrock's physics calculations.
Proposed Script API Hooks:
- Torque and Angular Velocity: Apply rotational forces and momentum directly to entities via Script API.
- Physical Properties: Expose friction, air resistance (drag), and restitution (bounciness) settings in entity components.
- Constraint Joints: Add API methods to create physical constraints (hinges, sliders, springs, and hitches) linking separate entities together.
Exposing these physics controls will give creators the tools to build realistic physics add-ons, dynamic doors, towed trailers, and custom machinery natively in Bedrock.
