The `@minecraft/server` JavaScript API is fantastic for gameplay event scripting, but complex real-time operations—like multi-body physics, rigid-body math calculations, and pathfinding algorithms—can struggle with performance overhead when handling hundreds of components per frame.
Proposed Addition:
- Integrate a secure WebAssembly (Wasm) execution layer alongside the JavaScript Scripting API.
- Allow creators to compile high-performance code (from C, C++, or Rust) into Wasm modules within behavior packs.
- Provide sandboxed memory buffers to pass coordinate data between Bedrock and the Wasm module efficiently.
This would grant Add-on developers the performance required for advanced physics engines, custom AI systems, and complex world-generation algorithms while maintaining safe sandboxed execution across all Bedrock platforms (Mobile, Console, and PC).
