We are getting sound related blocks added to Minecraft, but I think there is a block missing! The Disc Press can copy music discs, the Jukebox can play music discs and the Noteblock can play notes, but there is no way to record noteblock songs onto music discs! The Disc Cutter changes this!
The Disc Cutter: A block that allows you to record songs (created with noteblocks) onto custom music discs!
How would it work?
You insert a Blank Disc into the Disc Cutter, type in a name for your custom song, and maybe add a dye too, to give your new disc some color.
The disc cutter has two settings:
- Noteblock only
- All sound
When you select Noteblock only, no other sounds are recorded. When you select All sound, all mob sounds, footsteps and any other in game sound will also be recorded on the music disk.
Then you press Record to start recording, and Stop to stop. When you stop, a beautiful custom disc pops out with your very own Minecraft song!.
Why do we need this?
1. It would finally allow players to save and share their Noteblock songs, and share them with friends. More expression of creativity!
2. It would give the Disc press and Jukebox more functionality. More discs to copy, and more discs to play.
3. It could be used in all sorts of creative ways to record sounds. Maybe you want to create a treasure hunt, with sound clues. Maybe you want to create a custom ambiance using mob and nature sounds. Maybe you just really like the sound of villagers, and want to record that.
4. It would be neat.
