Inner and Outer Armor Layers: Chainmail, Wool, and Leather Rework

Overview Add a dual-slot armor system separating Inner Armor (utility and specialized resistance) and Outer Armor (standard mineral tier protection). Additionally, make Chainmail craftable.

1. Chain Crafting Recipe

• Recipe: Crafted using 3 Iron Nuggets in a vertical line (or horizontal), making chainmail components accessible without relying solely on trading or structure loot.

2. Dual Armor Slot System

Players get two equipment layers:

• Inner Layer: Leather, Wool, or Chainmail.

• Outer Layer: Iron, Gold, Diamond, Netherite, etc.

3. Inner Armor Types & Mechanics

• Chainmail (Inner Layer)

  • Perks: High resistance against slash attacks (e.g., standard sword strikes).

  • Weakness: Vulnerable to blunt damage and heavy attacks (e.g., axes or maces).

• Wool (Inner Layer)

  • Perks: Reduces critical attack damage and reduces knockback taken from heavy impacts.

  • Weaknesses: Highly flammable (takes increased fire damage) and severely slows down movement speed when submerged in water due to weight.

• Leather (Inner Layer)

  • Perks: Projectile defense that cancels out the annoying knockback from arrows.

  • Weakness: Provides the lowest base defense among all inner layers.

  I've actually thought about this before, but I have always forgotten to post it on feedback LOL.

  also, this same mechanic could apply to the elytra, seeing how in Minecraft Dungeons, you can wear armor and elytras at the same time.
