I suggest adding a realistic rusting and water-damage system to Minecraft.
1. Rusting Iron: Iron blocks and iron-based structures should gradually develop rust when exposed to water or moisture for a long time. Their texture and color could slowly change from iron gray to rusty orange-brown.
2. Water-Damaged Wood: Wooden blocks exposed to water for extended periods could gradually become darker, weathered, or damaged.
3. Prevention: Players could use protective coatings, such as wax or other new items, to prevent rust and protect wood from water damage.
4. Gameplay: These changes could be gradual and optional, adding realism without making building and survival unnecessarily difficult.
This feature would make Minecraft's world feel more alive, encourage players to maintain their structures, and create new possibilities for realistic builds and survival gameplay.
I believe this would be a great addition to a future Minecraft update. Thank you for considering my suggestion!
