Since we already have mossy cobblestone and mossy stone bricks, we should be able to craft Mossy Wood variants and Mossy Signs. Over time, wood left in damp environments or crafted directly with moss should have a weathered, overgrown look.
How it would work:
- Crafting: Players can combine any wooden plank, log, or sign with a Vine or a Moss Block in a crafting table to create the "Mossy" variant. Alternately, exposing wood blocks to a high-humidity biome (like Swamps, Jungles, or Mangrove Swamps) could slowly grow moss on them over time.
- The Look: The wood would feature green, leafy moss textures creeping across the grain.
- Mossy Signs: A mossy sign would look aged and overgrown. When placed, text could automatically appear slightly faded, or players could use Glow Ink Sacs to make the text pop against the green moss texture.
- Building Potential: This would be a game-changer for builders creating overgrown ruins, abandoned treehouses, custom trees, or shipwrecked designs.
