The problem Enchanting feels way too grindy, you need to forge books to their max level before applying everything at the same time in the same gear. And in the meantime the gear itself is not enchanted, because if we try to actually upgrade the enchantment level by level, at some point it will say "too expansive" because of the number of times the player has been forging.
The solution
The solution would be to be able to remove the "too expansive" limit of the anvil, and restructure the enchanting and forging system so it doesn't become more expansive depending on the number of times the player has forged.
Why?
To encourage the player to upgrade the gear over time instead of applying everything at once. Like this the player can reach that feeling of satisfaction trough the actual progress of upgrading their equipment throughout their journey.
Exemple
Option 1: The player can first start enchanting by using the enchanting table, and from there upgrade the enchantments one by one by using each corresponding books for it without fearing of the cost becoming way too high depending on the number of times the player has forged.
Option 2: The player can choose to simply use enchantment books the player has found throughout their journey to start enchanting their gear, and then upgrade each enchantment by using more books of each corresponding enchantment.
Of course the enchantment cost does become more expansive but only on the selected enchantment to upgrade.
