If you plan to have a forever world (or a world for a really long time) you will eventually explore a big are around your base. With newer updates you will have to explore more and more chunks so the poplar biome will be really far away and what if you want to build in that biome? Im aware you can delete chunks, but you are risking corruption and the new generated chunks are weird when they are around already existing chunks.
