Booster Copper Rails

I have thought a way that powered rails could have a consistent speed for those who use it for redstone, but also a way to have minecart travel faster.

I present, the booster rails, made of copper. Something which needs to be powered with the original powered rails and it can link to maybe a few booster rails too before needing another powered rail. I'm thinking that each booster rail could speed up the minecraft when it is lit, but slows down the minecraft when it is unlit.

    Saw this post on reddit. I think a booster rail is a solid idea for making minecart travel faster and a more useful means of transportation. I also saw another idea for booster rails using different redstone power level inputs to make variations in speed. I wonder if the two ideas could be used in conjunction. Maybe a booster rail that has to connect to a powered rail and the higher the redstone power level which is powering the powered rail the more speed the booster rail adds. I also like the idea for slowing down a minecart without stopping it. This could make for some fun Rollercoaster that vary in speed at locations that you'd want the rider to see more of.
