Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Sulfur Shelf Mushrooms

Sulfur Shelf mushrooms are a species of bright orange and yellow mushrooms native to the forests of eastern North America. They get their name from their color and the shelf-like clusters they grow in. They're non-poisonous and generally safe to eat if properly prepped and cooked. These mushrooms are sometimes called "chicken of the woods" given how their texture and taste are similar to lemon pepper chicken when cooked. If added they could be used like every other mushroom as food or potential potion ingredient. The Birch Forest concept art for the Wild Update got me thinking about them, they are a bright color that would stand out and look pretty in the forests of Minecraft. I feel like mushrooms and fungi themselves are a very neglected part of Minecraft and deserve to be flushed out some more.

    Be interesting.  Growing only on the sides of wooden blocks?  Maybe with a big version as well.
