Hello! I'd like to share an idea that I believe could be useful for Minecraft Bedrock add-on developers.
Currently, I haven't found a way to prevent a specific entity from being affected by the /kill command directly through its JSON file. This can be a problem for add-ons that contain entities essential to certain systems, NPCs, or objects that need to remain in the world.
It would be useful to have an optional property in an entity's JSON that allows it to be ignored when this command is executed.
For example, something like:
"minecraft:kill_command_immune": true
The idea would not be to make the entity completely invulnerable, but simply to prevent it from being killed by /kill. It could still take damage and be removed through other means, depending on its normal behavior.
I know there are workarounds for some situations using scripts, but a native JSON option could simplify this process considerably and give add-on creators more control.
I'm not sure whether something similar has already been considered or if there are any technical limitations to implementing it, but I'd like to share the idea and hear what the team thinks about it.
