I am frustrated with how difficult it is to use external add-ons in Minecraft Bedrock for Windows.
I tried to use the Verity BE add-on, which advertises AI-powered conversations. However, the resource and behavior packs failed to load correctly, and the debugger command returned the error “Failed to activate debugger.” The add-on only partially worked, and I could not access its main AI features.
Another problem is version compatibility. When an add-on requires a specific Bedrock version, the official launcher does not provide the same easy version selection available in Java Edition.
Please improve Minecraft Bedrock by:
-
Providing clearer error messages when add-on packs fail to load.
-
Improving compatibility and documentation for external add-ons.
-
Making script debugging easier to set up and troubleshoot.
-
Providing safer, official ways to use or test previous Bedrock versions.
Players should not have to struggle with unclear errors and complicated workarounds just to use community-created content.
I love the idea of expanding Minecraft with add-ons, but the current experience needs improvement.
