I have submitted this under the gameplay topic since it fundamentally blocks my ability to play the game. I am here to express my severe dissapointment with the decision to block LAN multiplayer behind an Xbox Gamepass Subscription.
I bought this game over 10 years ago, and I never once thought that I may not be able to play LOCALLY through MY internet router that I pay for. Alas Microsoft never fails to amaze me... just how greedy can a company get? Blocking local multiplayer that has absolutely no interaction with Microsoft's servers is quite frankly disgusting.
This paywall is anti-consumer and a massive step backward not just for the franchise but the gaming industry as a whole. If I cannot play online through my own internet hardware, I will refuse to play the game entirely. Minecraft has a decade-long history of allowing families and friends to play together locally for free. This restriction is completely arbitrary, considering that PC, mobile, and tablet versions of Minecraft Bedrock are fully capable of hosting and joining LAN games entirely for free without any subscription paywalls.
And I know this is not a bug, it is intended, which is why I am almost certain that Microslop will ignore this feedback entirely but forcing console players to pay a monthly premium just for their console to talk to a PC in the same room is unacceptable.
